About me and this blog

I work as a change agent in schools. I work with Heads of School, Boards, and strategic leadership teams. Invariably my work hones in on one area: how leadership works together as a team, paying close attention to the quality of the conversations they have. Are they focused on logistics at the expense of the future?

I have found that how we work together as a team depends on a few important things that teams never take the time to talk about, namely, what we believe about leadership and its goals; how we are learning and growing strategically as a team; and if we consider ourselves individuals who work at the same place or if we are a cohesive, collaborative team that thinks together.

In my work, I use two primary tools: questions and conversation.

I make no bones about the fact that I am always learning and striving to deepen my knowledge. So, what I know today is unfinished. This blog is a place for me to ask questions and start conversations. I hope that you will find something of interest here and want to join in.

My mission is to change the school experience for students. If I can change leaders, I can change schools. Come learn and be open to what is necessary at this moment in time. Learn to see what is possible and what is waiting for your influence.
